NDT TESTING

TCR advanced Engineering also provides Non Destructive Testing (NDT) services on and offsite. These tests are especially useful during fabrication of large structures, Automobile components, for checking their integrity and internal soundness of components.

NDT testing at TCR Advanced is backed by qualified Personal for performing and evaluating the tests.
We are equipped with Following in house facilities for NDT testing.

Dye Penetration Test (DP)
DP can be done on metallic parts for finding defects exposed to surface during manufacturing or in-service.

Fluorescent Dye Penetration (FDP)
FDP TECHNIQUE is considered more sensitive to visual DP examination. And hence widely used for critical in-service inspection.

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
MPI is used tofor magnetic materials for checking surface and sub surface defects. During manufacturing of in-service.

Wet Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Inspection (WFMPI)
wet MPI is used in vertical or overhead conditions where dry MPI is not feasible. Amongst all the MPI technique the Wet MPI is most sensitive technique and is widely used during In service inspection. Dry and wet MPI can be performed using AC and Half wave DC current depending upon the anticipation of defect.

Ultrasonic flaw detection (UT)
UT Flaw detection is very mutch useful in detecting internal leanear and planner defects using appropriate probes. Interpretation of flaw Echo requires high degrees of skill level. Selection of probe should be carried out keeping in mind following factors size of job. Material of construction, type of defect anticipated. and the sensitivity of defect to be detected. Ultrasonic flaw detection has advancetge over radiography that it can be done on heavy section thickness of material. Special probes are required for austenitic phase materials and SG Iron. Ultrasonic flaw detection has a limitation. It can not be used for grey cast iron and thin materials.

Thickness survey
Thickness survey is carried by ultrasonic thickness gauge. This is very useful in monitoring the thickness reduction due to corrosion/ erosion. in process plants, pipings and equipments. This tool is useful in in condition assessment and remaining life assessment studies.
